Architecture for Humanity Boston is an organization as a part of the BSA where we offer pro-bono design services to non-profit organizations in Boston and around the world. We have worked on design projects in Nepal and Guatemala along with local neighborhoods like West Roxbury, Brookline, Jamaica Plain , the South End. Our local projects include renovations and interior design, while in our international projects (often in partnership with other organizations that help in communication and translation), we often work with research and exploration of new and sustainable building technology that uses locally available materials.
We are always looking for people who want to get involved, not restricted to people in the architecture / design fields. We would love to have more landscape architects, interior designers, people with experience in event management and fundraising and anyone with any interest in socially responsible and aware solutions to join our group. We meet on the second Thursday of every month at 290 Congress Street, the headquarters of the Boston Society of Architects, from 6.30 PM. Meetings are open to everyone.
